WHY THIS PROJECT ?
This project was born from the realization that women's health has been neglected for decades. Current gynecological solutions are often standardized, available in a limited number of shapes and sizes, and uncomfortable for long-term use. For example, pessaries, which are used to treat pelvic organ prolapse, are mass-produced with simple geometric shapes and fail in 50% of cases, causing erosions, lacerations, and falling out of the vaginal canal. The Team aims to address these issues by offering a more effective, customized solution that adapts to the unique anatomy of each patient.

The team aims to achieve this by providing non-invasive, customized gynecological prosthetics at every stage of a woman's life, from menstruation to menopause. The goal is to reinvent women's health by offering personalized and non-invasive solutions for common gynecological conditions.

A DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION
The disruptive idea of FemTherapeutics is to create the world's first gynecological platform for customized non-invasive prosthetics. The plan is to use an exclusive measurement tool to obtain measurements of the vaginal canal and then use software to design a personalized pessary that will be 3D-printed with medical-grade silicone. Patients and clinicians will also have access to a digital platform to track clinical outcomes. This personalized approach will allow the creation of pessaries that provide dynamic support, are easy to insert and remove, and are more likely to stay in place.

LEVERAGING THE 3DEXPERIENCE PLATFORM
-To iterate the design of their pessary to achieve design freeze.
-To further develop their parametric designs using CATIA.
-To facilitate their clinical trials through the Medidata application. Medidata will provide a clinical development platform that will help them connect with patients during clinical trials.
COLLABORATIVE & COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE
-The Team has previously partnered with the Mayo Clinic to enhance their predictive models.
-They will work with healthcare providers to tailor and measure devices for each patient. Clinicians will use FemTherapeutics' exclusive measurement tool to obtain the patient's vaginal canal measurements, which will then be used to design a personalized pessary.
-The Team aims to create a community for patients to share testimonials and information. This community will provides support and information to women suffering from pelvic floor disorders and helps reduce the stigma associated with these conditions.
