deltaVision

Revolutionizing space with orbital refueling systems for a sustainable, efficient, and reusable space era.

IF WE are able to provide the refueling infrastructure, can we enhance mission capabilities, extend spacecraft lifetimes, and significantly improve their resilience ?

deltaVision aims to transform the space sector with in-orbit refueling technologies. The company’s goal is to develop advanced fluid management systems and end the disposable era in space by extending the lifespan of spacecraft. They are creating multi-standard couplers to facilitate refueling and aspire to be a German leader in next-generation propulsion systems

JOIN THE COMMUNITY

Revolutionizing space with orbital refueling systems for a sustainable, efficient, and reusable space era.

WHY THIS PROJECT ?

The project is driven by significant changes in space usage, where various players interact to provide services like debris removal and dynamic space operations. A major factor is the need for fuel in space, as current space transport vehicles are limited by fuel and often single-use. Orbital refueling can enhance mission capabilities, extend spacecraft lifespans, and create a billion-dollar market opportunity.

THE MISSION

deltaVision's mission is to develop and validate advanced fluid management systems, including cryogenic systems, to support clients in the New Space sector, space, and hydrogen mobility industries. Their goal is to enable orbital refueling, fostering commercial space use and protecting space assets. They aim to become a leading player in next-generation propulsion systems in Germany.

A DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION

deltaVision's disruptive approach is to provide orbital refueling infrastructure, including fuel transfer and orbital depots. Rather than single-use satellites, they aim for long-duration missions, reusable launchers, and lunar landings. They’re developing multi-standard couplers for refueling different spacecraft and key propulsion components such as valves and pumps, enabling refueling through life-extension kits or by adding fuel to existing tanks.

POSITIVE IMPACT ON SOCIETY

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
deltaVision is at the forefront of developing next-generation propulsion systems and establishing orbital refueling infrastructure. This innovation drives growth in the space sector and supports the development of sustainable infrastructure in space, paving the way for more efficient and reusable space technologies.

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
By enabling orbital refueling, deltaVision extends the lifespan of satellites and other spacecraft, effectively reducing space debris and the need for new launches. This approach promotes responsible resource usage in space, helping eliminate the era of disposable technologies and fostering a more sustainable model for space exploration.

SDG 13: Climate Action
deltaVision’s technology is also aligned with climate goals by enabling hydrogen-powered aircraft to fly more safely with lower maintenance costs. This supports the shift towards cleaner, more environmentally friendly propulsion systems, reducing the carbon footprint of air and space transportation.

LEVERAGING THE 3DEXPERIENCE PLATFORM

deltaVision plans to use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for :

-Engineering design and simulation

-Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) for modeling complex systems

-Data management through PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and data intelligence

-Product rendering

-Designing their offices

Their positive experience with the 3DEXPERIENCE lab in Munich has encouraged them to deepen the collaboration.

COLLABORATIVE & COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE

deltaVision values stakeholder engagement and works closely with pilot customers to refine their technology. They’re open to collaborating with other space industry players, particularly those developing refueling standards. With a team of 3 co-founders and 15 permanent employees, deltaVision emphasizes teamwork, especially with potential manufacturing partners, and plans to use Delmia’s tools to improve production coordination.
